KeymasterI am pleased to announce that Kumaran Nadesan will assume the role of Co-Founder and Deputy Chairman of 369 Global, effective January 3, 2023.
Kumaran has been instrumental in elevating our profile and reputation; deepening our stakeholder engagement and social impact; and successfully realizing new revenue streams that have increased our overall profitability as a group. In this role, he will continue to be responsible for strategy, public affairs, and international growth, and will assume full decision-making and signing authority in my absence. Kumaran will also continue acting in the role of Chief Executive Officer, 369Konnect at this time.
Prior to joining 369 Global, Kumaran was an Ontario public servant supporting the Ontario Government for nearly 15 years during which time he held progressively senior roles at the Ministries of Government and Consumer Services, the Solicitor General, and the Attorney General. His focus on innovation, program design, and values-based leadership has been recognised with several awards from the provincial and federal public service.
Kumaran has also been an active community animator for many years and has co-founded several initiatives aimed at building long-term collective capacity of racialized communities in Canada and vulnerable populations abroad, including his critical role as Founding Chair of comdu.it For his active community contributions, Kumaran was named a 2018 DiverseCity Fellow by the CivicAction Leadership Foundation and the 2020 Established Professional of the Year by the Canadian Tamil Professionals Association.
Kumaran has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in English and Psychology from the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) and an Executive Certificate in Strategic Public Management from the Schulich School of Business – York University. He was born in Jaffna, Sri Lanka from where he left as a refugee at the age of five to Chennai, India before eventually immigrating to Toronto, Canada by way of Muscat, Oman.
Kumaran will be temporarily relocating back to Chennai, India in the new year to spearhead our international expansion activities.
