Personal Bio

Kajan Kana is an up and coming musician, who is going to rock the music world. He was born in Sri Lanka. As result of the 25-year old civil war, which affected almost everyone in the island, Kajan was forced to leave the beautiful tropical island. He feels fortunate to have immigrated to Canada and has been living in Canada since 2001. Not being able to fully complete his studies due to the civil war, Kajan didn’t give up on his education, he continued his schooling in Toronto. Kajan attended Trebas Institute from 2003 to 2007 and completed his degree in Audio Engineering.

Having a passion for music from his young age, Kajan started learning classical music at the age of 10. As time passed, his focus in music turned toward Rock Music. From a young age, Kajan has been fascinated by energy the Rock can bring. Rock music is very new to the Tamil culture and no one has ever attempted to do what Kajan has done. He put so many South Asians around the world in shock when his first album, “Vazhiyillaiya” on December 14, 2017 in Toronto Canada. The word “Vazhiyillaiya” meaning, is there no way?

Business Description

Infusing his passion for music and humanity, Kajan tells a story about the Immigrant-Canadian's lifestyle in his first single. In this song, Kajan is about what each every one of us are going through on a regular basis. If translated, every immigrant would relate this to his/her personal life. Those who came to Canada in the early 80’s would say, this song would have been their daily life style.

Kajan’s hard work has paid off when the first single was launched. A video version of Vazhiyillaiya song will be released very soon. Kajan’s team is working on an album with 5 plus songs which will be completed in the next few months.
