Seneca Polytechnic’s HELIX Pitch Day
We were at Seneca Polytechnic’s HELIX Incubator End of Semester Pitch Day, where I got the chance to participate as one of the event’s judges.
Held at the HELIX Incubator, the Pitch Day featured the top 10 entrepreneurs selected from a highly competitive group of more than 80+ supported businesses, including participants from the Entrepreneurship Work Integrated Learning (EWIL) program. These finalists pitched their ventures for a chance to win a share of $5,500 in cash prizes.
The event brought together entrepreneurs from diverse industries and at various stages of their business journey. Each finalist presented their venture to a distinguished panel of judges, who evaluated submissions based on business model strength, innovation, growth strategy, impact, and overall presentation.
With over 40 applicants and a judging panel that included leaders from organizations such as Angel Investors Ontario, VentureLab, Dell, and Scotiabank, the Pitch Day highlighted the strength of Ontario’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. We, as judges, had an opportunity to play a vital role by offering insightful feedback, mentorship, and guidance to help shape the next generation of high-potential businesses.
Connecting GTA is proud to support and engage with initiatives that empower entrepreneurs, foster innovation, and strengthen our business community.
Congratulations to Carmen Doucetteof Her Yes Club who won the first prize.
