Ajax-Pickering business person of the year works hard to serve his members

An entrepreneur who started his company with a handful of close friends just five years ago has won a prestigious award from the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade. Founder and CEO of Connecting GTA, Suresh Kumar was named the Business Person of the Year at the board of trade’s 28th Annual 2022 Business Excellence Awards. “We are supporting a small community of business owners,” Kumar said of his business networking group. A prestigious judging panel of seven community business executives and professionals representing a wide spectrum of industries chose the recipients, who were celebrated at the Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility in Ajax in October. Kumar started up Connecting GTA with a goal in mind to build a dynamic and supportive business network. His dedication, pride and excitement have led to a membership of roughly 350 entrepreneurs today, all eagerly contributing to fulfil their dreams, while enriching the community.
