Women in Leadership Circle

Women in Leadership Circle in GTA

Empowering Women Entrepreneurs, Executives, and Professionals through Mentorship, Collaboration, and Leadership Development.

Empowering Women. Inspiring Progress.

The Women in Leadership Circle at Connecting GTA Networking Club is a dedicated space where women entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals come together to share insights, mentorship, and strength. We created this programme because we recognised that women face unique challenges in business and leadership, challenges that are best navigated with the support of others who truly understand.

This Circle is more than a networking group. It’s a community built on empowerment, leadership progression, and genuine inclusivity. Here, women connect authentically, grow purposefully, and inspire each other to reach new heights in business and community development. Whether you’re launching your first venture, climbing the corporate ladder, or expanding your influence as a community leader, you’ll find support, guidance, and opportunity within our women in business networking community.

As part of the Toronto business growth hub, our Circle provides access to resources, connections, and programmes specifically designed to address what women in leadership need most: visibility, mentorship, collaboration, and a platform to amplify their voices. We celebrate women’s achievements, foster meaningful collaboration, and create pathways for women to lead with confidence and impact.

Our Four Core Focus Areas

The Women in Leadership Circle operates through four interconnected pillars designed to support every aspect of women’s leadership journeys:

Leadership Development & Mentorship

Training opportunities, expert-led sessions, and personal growth frameworks provide the skills and confidence women need to lead effectively. Our women in leadership networking programmes cover everything from executive presence to strategic decision-making, from negotiation to conflict resolution.

Access to mentors who guide career and business advancement is perhaps our most valuable offering. These aren’t generic mentorship matches. We pair women thoughtfully based on industry experience, career stage, and specific goals. Your mentor becomes your advisor, your advocate, and your accountability partner.

Support for emerging and established women leaders ensures everyone finds relevant programming regardless of where they are in their journey. Early-career professionals gain foundational skills while experienced executives refine advanced capabilities and explore new opportunities.

Networking Forums & Speaker Sessions

Curated business networking events feature influential women in business who share their journeys, insights, and hard-won wisdom. These aren’t polished presentations hiding real struggles. They’re honest conversations about what it actually takes to succeed as a woman in business.

Roundtable discussions create intimate environments where women exchange experiences, strategies, and challenges. These sessions address topics women care about: work-life integration, imposter syndrome, negotiating compensation, building credibility, managing difficult dynamics, and creating opportunities in male-dominated spaces.

The safe, supportive networking environment we’ve cultivated encourages authentic connection. Women feel comfortable being vulnerable, asking for help, and sharing both successes and setbacks. This authenticity creates relationships that matter.

Visibility & Spotlight Features

Media features elevate women’s leadership stories through professional events and across the Greater Toronto Area. We actively work to increase visibility for women leaders who deserve recognition but often don’t receive it.

Business spotlights, interviews, and success showcases provide platforms for women to share their expertise and build their reputations. Whether you’re looking to establish thought leadership, attract clients, or simply receive recognition for your achievements, we create opportunities for your story to be told.

Opportunities to build authority and brand presence come through speaking engagements, panel participation, written features, and social media amplification through networking platforms for entrepreneurs we’ve built and partnerships we’ve developed.

Collaboration & Peer Support

Groups designed for problem-solving, shared learning, and partnership building help women tackle challenges collectively rather than individually. When you face a difficult business decision or complex challenge, you can bring it to the Circle and benefit from diverse perspectives.

A community that encourages women to uplift one another creates an environment fundamentally different from competitive spaces where women feel pitted against each other. Here, your success doesn’t diminish mine. We genuinely celebrate each other’s wins and support each other through difficulties.

Accountability and goal-setting circles provide structure for achieving objectives. Share your goals with women who will check in on your progress, celebrate milestones, and help you stay on track when motivation wanes.

Circle Program Modules

Our programming is organised into four comprehensive modules addressing different aspects of women’s leadership development:

Leadership Growth Workshops

Sessions on communication, strategic decision-making, and confidence-building provide practical skills women apply immediately in their roles. Our training is designed specifically for women in business networking contexts, addressing the unique dynamics women navigate.

Topics include developing executive presence without sacrificing authenticity, leading effectively across differences, managing up and down organisational hierarchies, building and leading high-performance teams, and navigating politics with integrity.

Mentorship & Guidance

One-to-one and group mentorship provide personalised guidance on career progression, entrepreneurship, and leadership challenges. Mentors share experiences, open doors, make introductions, and provide honest feedback that helps you grow.

Advice covers practical topics: negotiating job offers and promotions, transitioning between industries, building businesses while managing other responsibilities, recovering from setbacks, and identifying opportunities aligned with your values and goals.

Networking & Speaker Forums

Exclusive women entrepreneurs networking events feature top female leaders from diverse industries. These sessions combine presentations with facilitated discussions, ensuring every attendee benefits from both speaker insights and peer perspectives.

Open discussions, Q&A sessions, and story-sharing create environments where vulnerability and honesty are welcomed. Women leave these events feeling inspired, connected, and less alone in their experiences.

Visibility & Empowerment

Spotlight features on members through the GTA entrepreneur network increase visibility for women doing impressive work. We actively seek opportunities to showcase member achievements through our channels and partner platforms.

Community-driven recognition and media opportunities include member-nominated awards, success celebrations, profile features, and introductions to journalists seeking expert sources. Your accomplishments deserve recognition, and we work to ensure they receive it.
